Research Library

A curated collection of research on school discipline, equity, and the school-to-prison pipeline — organized by topic. Washington-specific research is listed first in each section, followed by national studies with direct relevance to Washington practice and policy.

For families and advocates: Start with the Washington-specific reports under “Discipline & the Pipeline” — they document local conditions. The “Know Your Rights” section of this site translates the legal research into plain language for families navigating a discipline situation.
